Details of Each Photographers Process

Alyce Croft Boudoir 9/10

Alyce Croft provides good preparation content through multiple blog posts focused on what to wear for different body types, how to prepare for the shoot, and what to bring.

Her homepage clearly outlines what a session includes: 2.5 hours, 3-5 outfit changes, professional HMUA, and posing guidance. She positions herself as a posing coach who directs clients from head to toe.

However, there is limited public information about the post-session viewing, ordering process, boudoir album details and delivery timelines.

Empowering Boudoir 7/10

Empowering boudoir has a hybrid experience and pricing page, which gives a good idea of what you can expect when you book your photo shoot with her.

She also helps clients with a wardrobe appointment prior to their sessions, offers access to a client closet and includes professional HMUA is her session fee.

Overall there’s good information about her experience on her website, but her preparation guides aren’t provided without first sending and inquiry though her website, so it’s unclear how helpful her guides are.

Modern Beauty Boudoir 7/10

Modern Beauty Boudoir has a very clear and detailed boudoir experience page that walks clients through their entire process.

They provide prep guides, wardrobe guidance, and access to a client closet. HMUA is included, and the photographer fully directs the session from head to toe.

After the session, clients book a viewing and ordering appointment 1-2 weeks later. Product delivery is stated as arriving within approximately 8 weeks.

Karen Morgan Boudoir 6/10

Karen Morgan has good information about what to expect from your boudoir photo shoot on her website. Her “Session Details” and “Products” page give a good overview of what you can expect before, at and after your session.

Her products page also has lots of photos that clearly show the albums and folio boxes you can purchase after your session.

Aside from this, there is no information about how the images are printed, or details about how the albums made.

There is also no price list publicly available which leaves many details about an experience with her unclear.

Lily Rose Photography 5/10

Lily Rose has a dedicated boudoir page that is well structured and covers many aspects of her boudoir experience.

That said, her boudoir information it’s literally one webpage that looks like it was optimized for search engine optimization (seo) rather than customer experience.

There are good tips on the page, and its well structured, but the topic range is so broad it feels like there are many gaps in the experience.

For example, there are no images of boudoir albums, or boudoir session pricing on her website.

There is a starting price for weddings and pictures of boudoir photos in folio boxes, but no information about if the images are printed on photo paper or fine art cotton fiber paper or how much they cost.

KCI Boudoir | 5/10

KCI Boudoir has a very clear pricing page so you can know exactly how much your session is going to cost.

She also has an FAQ page that provides some good information about session duration and when you can expect your photos after your session.

On her blog there is also a post about boudoir hair and makeup, how much it costs and some examples you can use as inspiration for your photo shoot.

Aside from these resources though, there is no preparation guides or any information about what her process is like leading up to the session and how image selection works after. There is also no detail about any of the products she offers.

Kimberly Macdonald Studios 4/10

Kimberley Macdonald Studios offers little information about her boudoir sessions. There is a $350 session fee to book a session but few details about what this includes.

Products and images are an additional fee after the session and Kimberley gives a good price range of what you can expect a session to cost. That said, there are no details about image or album pricing or even what kind of products she offers.

Kimberly Macdonald also includes a full lingerie and prep guide as part of her session fee, but it’s unclear how much value these guides add as they’re not posted publicly.

Tifani Beecher Photography 3/10

Tifani Beecher has a simple single page of her website dedicated to boudoir.

She offers boudoir sessions for $650 which includes 3 outfit changes and all of the digital images from the session. Her photo shoots also include a “Lil Black Book.”

Although her offerings seem straightforward, there are no photos of the Lil Black Book on her website, so its pretty unclear what you’re actually getting from your session.

There is also nothing that tells you about what you can expect from your session or even any mention of planning resources to help you before.
